Chateau Pichon Comtesse de Lalande is a Second Growth Bordeaux wine from Pauillac, located in the Medoc region of Bordeaux, France.

The winery’s vineyard is 100 hectares, with soil that is deep gravel with clay and limestone. The vineyard is planted to a vine density of 9,100 vines per hectare, and the grapes include 65% Cabernet Sauvignon, 25% Merlot, 7% Cabernet Franc, and 3% Petit Verdot.

The wine is characterized by sensuous textures, deep concentrated layers of ripe fruit, and a perfume filled with earth, tobacco, and cassis. The vinification takes place in 70, temperature-controlled, stainless steel vats, and the chateau produces a white Bordeaux wine for the first time starting with the 2022 vintage.

The best vintages for Chateau Pichon Comtesse de Lalande include 2016, 2015, 2010, 2009, 2005, 2000, 1996, and 1995. The best storage and serving temperatures are 60-65°F (16-18°C) and 65-70°F (18-21°C), respectively, and the wine should be decanted for 1-2 hours.
