Chateau Brane Cantenac is located in the Margaux appellation of Bordeaux, France. The vineyard covers 75 hectares and is planted with 55% Cabernet Sauvignon, 39% Merlot, 4.5% Cabernet Franc, 1% Petit Verdot, and 0.5% Carmenere. 

The terroir consists of deep gravel, sand, and clay soil and is farmed using organic and biodynamic methods. The vineyard is divided into 120 separate parcels and the grapes are harvested parcel by parcel. 

The wine is vinified in a combination of temperature-controlled, traditional, oak vats, concrete tanks, and stainless steel vats. The wine is aged in an average of 60% new, French oak barrels for 17 months before bottling. 

The best vintages of Chateau Brane Cantenac are 2022, 2021, 2020, 2019, 2018, 2017, 2016, 2015, 2014, 2010, 2009, 2008, 2006, 2005, and 2000. The wine is best served at 15.5 degrees Celsius and can be enjoyed young with decanting or aged for at least 10 years. Chateau Brane Cantenac is best served with classic meat dishes, Asian cuisine, hearty fish courses, mushrooms, pasta, and cheese.
