Chateau Branaire Ducru is a Fourth Growth wine from the Saint-Julien appellation in the Bordeaux region of France. The 60-hectare vineyard is planted to 65% Cabernet-Sauvignon, 28% Merlot, 4% Petit Verdot, and 3% Cabernet Franc on deep gravel with clay soils.

Alcoholic fermentation takes place at temperatures between 26 to 28 degrees Celsius and the wine is aged in 60% to 65% new, French oak barrels for between 16-20 months.

The wine is best served at 15.5 degrees Celsius, 60 degrees Fahrenheit, and goes well with all types of classic meat dishes, veal, pork, beef, lamb, duck, game, roast chicken, roasted, braised, stewed, and grilled dishes.
