Chateau Marquis d’Alesme Becker is a winery located in the Margaux appellation of Bordeaux, France. The vineyard is divided into three unique terroirs and soils and planted with 63% Cabernet Sauvignon, 30% Merlot, 5% Petit Verdot, and 2% Cabernet Franc.
Organic farming methods have been used in their vineyards since 2016.
The wine is aged in 60% new, French oak barrels for an average of 18 months and is usually best served at 15.5 degrees Celsius.
The best vintages of Chateau Marquis d’Alesme are 2010, 2012, 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019, 2020, 2021, and 2022. Young vintages can be decanted for 1-3 hours to soften and open its perfume.
The wine pairs well with all types of classic meat dishes, hearty fish courses like tuna, mushrooms, and pasta, as well as a wide variety of hard and soft cheeses.
